Cirque de Hanukkah to feature "The Skyriders", Shakshukah

Sunday, December 6, 5:00pm, Egan Convention Center

Join Alaska Jewish Campus & Lubavitch Jewish Center for “Cirque de Hanukkah,” featuring an incredible aerial display by “The SkyRiders” - high-flying Guinness World Record holders and NBA half-time performers - in their premiere Alaskan debut! Watch mind-boggling maneuvers, with flips and twists that defy gravity.

Enjoy Israeli Shakshuka bar, catered by renowned chef from New York. Let the kids have a blast in the Dreidel bounce-house, and create fresh oil with a giant olive oil press. A truly unforgettable audience experience for all ages. In the tradition of the classic Fur Rondy ice sculpting events, Alaskan artist Speareo Stephens, will carve a giant Menorah from a large block of ice during this magical evening in which we bring the warmth of Hanukkah to the Alaskan winter.

Hanukkah, the festival of light, the most widely celebrated of all Jewish holidays, is a celebration of religious freedom and expression marking the ancient Jewish victory against religious persecution, the victory of “Light over Might”. Public Menorah lightings are celebrated internationally and symbolize the universal message of cultural tolerance and diversity.
